ICKLE+ announcement

We are very excited to announce that we have been awarded funding from the Leeds Social Sciences Institute (LSSI) ESRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) that allows us to carry out an ICKLE impact project, which we have imaginatively titled ICKLE +!    

Our impact project  aims to extend the reach of ICKLE to a wider audience in the hope that our research can have impact at a societal level.  

The ICKLE project gathered data from 10 schools in Leeds and their respective families; we would like to collaborate with a wider group of educators, council representatives and families to interpret our findings and gather feedback on our recommendations.  

 We are going to be very busy over the next 9 months holding consultation workshop sessions, presenting findings, gathering feedback online. We will also be e working in partnership with Leeds City Council and Leeds Libraries to support children’s reading development, through creating an online bank of resources for schools and families suitable for Key Stage 2 learners.
